When eleven educators in four school divisions across America build 1:1 Learning Labs containing Livescribe Pens, a FabLab station, and iPod Touches, and have a business partner’s innovative technology to create “apps” for any mobile platform, we are able to scaffold our students’ understanding as they use, design, build and improve upon robust tools for meaningful learning and collaboration.
Sir Ken Robinson so aptly questions whether today's schools kill creativity. With that in mind, I have joined a group of educators from across the country who want to engage students as designers and collaborators to be part of the change we so desperately need. How can you be part of that change? Please take 15 minutes to read and respond to our application by Monday (end of day) for the prestigious MacArthur Foundation's Digital Media Learning Grant. Please note the first round of the grant application limits us to 300 words. Please feel free to ask more questions, share your ideas either here on this blog or in the comment section of the application itself.
Your supportive response by end of day Monday, February 22nd will help take us to the next level!
Thank you!
